The looming, generic exterior hides a better-than-expected interior and a ton of amenities. Most of the spacious rooms, in monochromes with pops of local art, have high ceilings; avoid the darker ones on the lower floors and shorter ones on floors 4 and 5. Suites, though not luxurious, are downright huge. A free hot breakfast buffet and generous evening “kick-back” drinks and snacks aren’t fancy but add big value. Staff is invariably friendly, and the serviceable fitness room looks onto the good-size pool and whirlpool spa. All that, a good location, and reasonable rates make this one of the best deals in town.
