Great location (especially for Jazz Fest goers), friendly host, clean and unfussy rooms with kitchenettes: all good. The exterior looks fittingly New Orleanean, with tall columns and wide double galleries, and its mint-green color hints at the hotel’s beachy tone (aqua, and laid-back). Rooms vary in size and configuration, from a tiny single to a multi-bedroom. The huge back yard is event-ready, which may or may not work to your benefit (if a crawfish boil is on, you’re probably invited; if a wedding is on—which is often—there’s a party in your yard). Other amenities and services are scant, so don’t expect to be doted on, but the price is surely right.
