It may not be the ritziest of all Ritz-Carltons, but do expect Ritz-level luxury, service, and amenities, including a stellar spa and the soignée Davenport Lounge. It’s all quite gracious and stately (as was its previous tenant, legendary department store Maison Blanche), though the hotel is a bit confusing to navigate. Room decor leans traditional, with posh purple and gold fabrics; bedding is superb even in the smaller rooms. Try for a larger room on the 12th, 14th, or 15th floor, or better yet, the updated Maison Orleans club level. With its plush lounge, handsome library, 24-hour concierge, and food and bev service, it’s among the best VIP sleeps in town.
