Café Lafitte in Exile
One of the oldest gay bars in the U.S., this was established in 1933 and claims Tennessee Williams as a patron. It's got a theme-night cruise bar downstairs (not so much for teeny-boppers or twinks) and a friendly, publike atmosphere upstairs. We don’t really get the famous Sunday-night “Love is in the Air” napkin toss, but we love it.
