Johnny’s is the standard-bearer for po’ boys in the French Quarter—in fact, it’s the only proper po’ boy joint in the area. They’ll put almost anything on that crunchy, fluffy Leidenheimer bread, but they’re best known for their roast beef po’ boy. We have a soft spot for the fried pork chop version, just ‘cause it’s hard to find one elsewhere. The line moves fast; don’t be discouraged. Little-known insider fact about the family-owned fave: It’s also a good, cheap, quick breakfast spot. Other little-known fact: They deliver to French Quarter hotels.
