Bienvenue! This welcome addition to the upper Quarter brings much-needed coffee, breakfast, and lunch options to this area, all done with a French accent. Pastries are baked on-site, including the elusive proper croissant and decadent pain perdu muffins, so gooey with crème anglaise that they must be et with knife and fork. Soups, salads, quiches, and croque sandwiches (with Gruyére! and house-cured tuna!) round out the lunch menu—and now they even host seasonal crawfish boils on their balcony overlooking Armstrong Park. Year-round, there’s simple goodness and brewed-to-order French-press coffee for $2.50. Mais oui.
