★★★[em]“That cocktail is dangerously drinkable,” Courtney, the bartender warned, as I sucked on the paper straw. I was about to ask “why” when I realized that I’d finished the large glass already. I blame the marscapone—yes, that was one of the unusual ingredients in the luscious tipple, one of many created from items you don’t usually find behind a bar (like activated charcoal, rare liqueurs and herbs). A speakeasy that changes its themed menu every few months, Pouring Ribbons is unusual for the artistry of its tipples but even more so for it capacious space. This is one of Gotham’s few cocktail havens where you can bring a crowd (the staff are terrific, too).
