Just across the street from Made Nice (see above), Kazu Nori calls itself a “hand roll bar”, an apt description. Guests sit at a counter and order sets of either 3, 4, 5 or 6 rolls. The rice is comfortingly warm, the fish of high, high quality, and the prices surprisingly low (which is why there’s always a line to get in). It’s simple food in a simple atmosphere, but really delish (and they do serve alcohol).
There's now also an off-shoot at The Hugh food court (157 E. 53rd St.).
