When you dine at Le Bernardin you witness a delightfully formal bit of choreography. Every dish comes out in tandem with those of your fellow diners, and like magic, each one hits the table at exactly the same moment, a waiter poised at each diner’s elbow. That synchronicity is a signal of respect, both for the eaters, and for master chef Eric Ripert, who has appeared on every TV cooking show at this point (really!), and is still at the height of his powers. Yes, this will be a pricey meal, but it’s one you’ll remember long after you leave NYC. An iconic dining experience.
