Throw everything you think you know about Thai food out the window. Because here you get the real stuff: baby corn that actually has a flavor, oddities like dried catfish (crispy, salty, and addictive), and dishes that perfectly balance sweet with sour, salty with spicy. On that last note: Take it seriously when they ask you how hot you want your meal. I left the restaurant after my last visit and almost walked into a telephone pole, I was so lightheaded from the powerful spices I’d just eaten. Among the many recommended dishes are the green duck curry with pineapple, ground pork with lime and peanuts, and duck salad (they do duck extremely well here). Expect a wait, as the restaurant doesn’t take reservations and it’s always jammed. By the way, the name is pronounced see-PRA-pie.
