This is a design-heavy restaurant that mixes sleek contemporary furniture with an open kitchen and indoor citrus garden . . . and gets it completely right. Two of this guidebook’s authors live around the corner from this establishment and are devoted regulars. Chalkboard menus chart locally sourced daily delights including squid from the Italian border, lemons (for various desserts) from Menton, and stuffed ricotta tortelli from Nice Old Town’s finest pasta store, Barale (7 rue Saint Réparate). In a final toast to modernism, reservations are accepted via Facebook, and fairly priced Provençal wines can be purchased by the pichet (carafe).
