In business since 1972, Erath Vineyards, set high in the Red Hills of Dundee, was founded by Dick Erath, one of the pioneers of modern Oregon winemaking. A wide variety of wines is produced here, and you can usually sample 10 or more during your visit to the tasting room. Be sure to pay for a tasting of the single-vineyard pinot noirs, which usually sell for $45 to $50 or more. Today this winery is owned by Washington state's Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery.
