An old-time favorite with Nürnbergers serves straightforward fare in atmospheric, wood paneled, antiques-filled surroundings that don’t make a single nod to being anything other than traditional. Nor do such dishes as pork roast with finger dumplings and delectable little Nürnberg sausages cooked over an open fire and served with sauerkraut. Attentive service and a tempting wine list complement a meal. The family also runs the 56-room inn that flows across the floors upstairs into a modern annex.
