This is not a resort; it is a small, marvelously inexpensive hotel efficiently run by a friendly staff near the Pineapple Mall in Ocho Rios. The 14 rooms are basic but comfortable, with bright Caribbean colors (make sure, if you need Wi-Fi, to tell them at check-in, as it reaches only some of the rooms).

There is a small pool, and a beach a short walk away, a few restaurants in the neighborhood (the hotel does a great cooked breakfast for about $5), and a daily market nearby for in-room picnics. If you are just looking for a clean, efficient, cheap place to crash while you explore the north coast of Jamaica—rather than a beach resort to laze around in all day—this is the place.
