Geumdang Valley
One of the best sites for rafting is the Geumdang Valley on Pyeongchang-gang (river). The 5km (3-mile) course goes along Geumdangsan and Geomunsan from Deungmaeji Village to Baekam-dong. There are occasional sandbanks where you can take a break, should you wish. The Pyeongchang-gang is also popular for fishing as well. It costs about W30,000 per person to rent a raft for nine people and you have to be 14 and older. For groups over 30, it's W25,000 per person and includes a guide and insurance. You can also rent rooms starting at W60,000 on weekdays for two to three people.
