Doburoku Matsuri no Yakata (Festival Hall)
This Festival Hall was erected in honor of the Doburoku Matsuri Festival held in Shirakawa-go every year from October 14 to October 19. Centering on locally produced, potent sake, the festival is held just outside the museum's grounds at Hachimanjinja Shrine. If you've never seen a Japanese festival, you might want to come here to see some of the costumes worn during the festival, sample the festive sake, and watch a 20-minute video of the yearly festivities and folk dancing.
