Restaurants in Olympic National Park
Inside the Park
Restaurant choices inside the park are slim. On the north side, on the shore of Lake Crescent, the dining room at Lake Crescent Lodge (open early May to mid-Oct) serves Continental and Northwestern cuisine with an emphasis on local seafood. Also along the lakeshore, the Log Cabin Resort (open Memorial Day to Labor Day), offers a Northwestern menu, specializing in organic and natural fare. On Lake Quinault, try the dining room at Lake Quinault Lodge. The restaurant at Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort is open from early May through mid-October. It offers traditional American breakfasts and Northwest cuisine at dinner. On the premises is a deli that serves lunch.
To pick up packaged sandwiches, beverages, and snacks at Lake Crescent, stop at the Fairholm Store & Marina, 221121 U.S. 101 (tel. 360/928-3020; www.fairholmstore.com), at the west end of the lake. It's open from May through September.
In Forks
A good budget option for lunch or dinner is Taqueria Santa Ana, 80 Calawah Way (tel. 360/374-2210), a Mexican hole-in-the-wall with superlative enchiladas.
