A romantic venue for a special celebration, this gourmet restaurant has outdoor tables on a small peninsula overlooking the sea and Opatija’s waterside promenade. Founded in 1971, it has won many awards. In summer 2013, it reopened as an ultra-modern restaurant and small luxury hotel on the site of the original eatery. Dishes include delights such as risotto with shrimp and wild asparagus, and lobster with tagliatelli, which you should follow with fresh fish, the options depending on the previous night’s catch. To try a bit of everything, opt for the six-course degustation menu. It is very expensive, but most people agree that it’s worth it. Reservations are recommended.
