Meet the absolute cheapest respectable option in town. The facilities, cinder-block construction, and past-its-prime stretch of U.S. 192 will put pampered types off, but there are major plusses for a budget property, starting with attentive upkeep and a convivial international clientele. It backs up to Lake Cecile with its own dock, and there’s also a pool in the giant backyard, where there’s also a barbecue pit. You’ll find simple private rooms with cable TV, private bathrooms, and twin beds, plus a family room sleeping five ($15 per person). Across the street, there’s a Publix supermarket for munitions (the hostel has an equipped kitchen), and the $2 city bus to Disney goes right past the front door. You can’t hope for more for rock bottom.
