The “House of the Dreamer” is the home and gallery of the late sculptor Macedonio Quesada. Quesada earned fame with his primitive sculptures of La Negrita and other religious and secular characters carved on coffee tree roots and trunks. You can see some of Macedonio’s original work here, including his version of “The Last Supper” carved onto one of the walls of the main building. Today, his sons carry on the family tradition, making small sculptures, carved religious icons, and ornate walking sticks.
