This quirky 5-hectare (12-acre) garden is a good introduction to the unique ecology of this area. The garden is laid out with paths and boardwalks that wind through the forest, past sculptures by local artists, and along the shoreline. Guided walks, special workshops, and naturalist programs are offered seasonally. Also in the gardens is the Raincoast Education Society, which exhibits on local flora, fauna, and history, and often has guest speakers and nature walks. Off-season hours vary, so call ahead.
