Finally, Ucluelet has luxe accommodation to rival almost anything Tofino has to offer. The setting of this 5-year-old property is simply spectacular—perched on a rocky cliff with waves crashing right below and the recently completed Wild Pacific Trail nearby—and its contemporary design is almost as dramatic—all rock, steel, water, wood, and the gleam of glass from floor-to-ceiling windows. The all-suite guest rooms are luxuriously comfortable, with lots of natural light, wood, and stone to provide a sense of melding with nature. The resort is a 15-minute walk from downtown Ucluelet, but is designed to provide just about anything you need on site, including the artisanal-inspired dishes of its fine-dining restaurant, Fetch, and the sense of well-being bestowed by the Drift Spa. The resort is well equipped to host weddings, elopements, and meetings, though one imagines that it would be difficult to concentrate on spreadsheets with all that natural beauty nearby.
