Palma is packed with bars and dance clubs. The island’s northern tier has some clubs, but for a laser- and strobe-lit club, boogie in Palma.
Right on the beach by lots of hotels, Tito’s, Passeig Marítim (tel. 97-173-00-17; www.titosmallorca.com), is the most popular disco on the island (it’s frequented by an international crowd). Tito’s charges a cover of 18€ to 20€, including the first drink. Between June and September, it’s open nightly from 11pm to 6am; Thursday to Sunday 11pm to 6am the rest of the year.
Costa Galana, Av. Argentina 45 (tel. 97-145-46-58), is a bar with white leather chairs and a sound menu of electric jazz and deep house music. Upstairs is a bustling cafe; the lounge downstairs pulsates at night. Open Monday to Thursday and Sunday 8am to 2am, Friday and Saturday 8am to 4am. Beer costs from 3€, mixed drinks from 7€.
Gran Casino Mallorca lies on the harborfront promenade at Av. Gabriel Roca 4 (tel. 97-113-00-00; www.casinodemallorca.com). You’ll need a passport (plus a shirt and tie for men) to enter and play table games or slots. The casino is open daily 4pm to 5am. Entry is 4€.
Palma’s best beer hall is Lórien, Carrer de les Caputxines, 5 (tel. 97-172-32-02), with 100 selections from two dozen countries.
