British-born Marc Fosh was the best thing ever to happen to Palma dining. His Simply Fosh remains a posh night out for inventive twists on Mediterranean standards, but this basement brasserie brings simple joy back to dining. Fosh isn’t afraid to list a roasted farmhouse chicken or beef filet with truffled potatoes as house specialties, but you can also opt for the comforting pleasures of stewed beef cheeks or roast leg of lamb with creamy polenta. The midday menu is a terrific buy, offering versions with or without dessert. The menu changes every week but is likely to include a choice of soup or fried fish as a starter, then a choice of fish, meat, or rice dish as a main plate.
