You’ll find lots of Navarrese handicrafts in kiosks scattered through the old town. Bazar Echeve, Calle Mercaderes, 14 (tel. 94-822-42-15), sells vests, ceramics, hats, wood carvings, and botas (wineskins), which locals use to squirt wine, with great dexterity, into their open mouths. Now in its fourth generation, Las Tres ZZZ, Calle Comedias, 7 (tel. 94-822-44-38; www.lastreszzz.com), was founded in 1873 and is one of the best-known makers of wineskins. Goatskin is the traditional material, but the company also produces wineskins from corduroy and synthetics.
