Flying Fork Cafe and Bakery
Chef-owner Kelly Steinmetz upped the ante for restaurants in Paonia when he opened this breezy bakery and cafe in 2003. Superlative baked goods in the morning give way to a creative list of sandwiches for lunch, but dinner is a more involved affair. Main courses include homemade pasta dishes, braised Colorado lamb shank, and polenta with local heirloom tomatoes. There is also a selection of Neapolitan-style pizzas.
