These modest but well-equipped villas are among the cheapest digs you can find on Paradise Island—certainly the cheapest right on the beach—just a ten-minute stroll from the whiz-bang attractions of the sprawling Atlantis resort (day passes: $139). They range from one to five bedrooms each (most also have a sofa bed in the living room), with ocean views from some three-bedroom and larger units.

The dated furniture may be classic beach rental—durable, easy to clean, colorful yet otherwise unmemorable—but you get all the basics: A kitchen or kitchenette and dining area, stair-stepping pools that twist and wend their way around and under tunnels and waterfalls, a beach mere steps from your door, and an open-sided bar and decent restaurant on-site. Some units even come with washer/dryer (there’s also a laundry on-site if yours does not).
