Of the three Christian Constant restaurants on this street, this one is the most relaxed; you may find the master himself at the bar smoking a cigar here during his off-hours. The menu features modern versions of French comfort food like tangy poached cod with aioli, melt-in-your-mouth beef daube (stew) with carrots, or steak with shallots and creamy potato puree. The weekday lunch formule is a two-course meal (chef’s choice) for 16€, a terrific deal for this level of quality. If you are hankering for a meal off-hours, between 3pm and 5pm you can select a dish from a more limited menu. No reservations.
