Visitor Information--Hunter's Store, 125 E. Queen St. (tel. 800/862-1795 or 864/646-3782), is the home of the tri-county Pendleton District Historical, Recreational, and Tourism Commission. Here, you will find cassette-tape tours, maps and information on the entire district, locally handmade arts and crafts, and books on the area. The audio tours cost $5 for the tape rental, which includes the use of a tape player and a map. The tour lasts 1 1/2 hours and is offered from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday. The commission is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4:30pm (closed holidays).
