The third most visited protected area in all of Colombia, Nevados National Park covers 225 square miles of high altitude terrain that is home to abundant wildlife ranging from endangered Andean ducks to tapirs and spectacled bears. Informal hiking trails are scattered throughout the park, and the glacial peaks within the park provide water for the entire coffee triangle. Most visit as part of a trip to Laguna de Otún.
