In the center of the old town, this excellent-value hotel’s biggest selling point is its location: it’s tucked away on a car-free, very quiet street, in a lovely 16th-century building. A wrought-iron staircase leads up to the bedrooms (there is an elevator as well) and a small bar and breakfast room are on the ground floor. Bedrooms range from surprisingly spacious to quite small, and some have eccentric décor (oddly patterned wallpaper mostly). Bathrooms have tubs and some rooms have small terraces overlooking place de la Loge. There’s a pretty courtyard and prices include a light breakfast.
