This highly regarded restaurant is right beside the cathedral so you can eat on the large terrace looking at the ancient flying buttresses. Beautifully illuminated at night, this is great for a romantic summertime meal. Chef Yann Auger describes the restaurant as a bistro, but his cooking is more sophisticated. Try a rillette of ray with crisp vegetables, and a creamy prawn risotto for a light meal, or duck confit with dried fruits then filet mignon with spaghetti squash, hazelnuts, and Banyuls juice. Some of the wines from the well-thought-out list of Roussillon wines come from the chef’s vineyards.
