This older hotel used to call itself a “resort”; now it’s styled as a boutique hotel. It has some nice architectural touches, but it’s basically a Best Western, which is what it used to be. Located just east of Scottsdale Road in south Scottsdale, it’s a few miles from the swanky area. While it may not be fancy, a pretty courtyard with green lawns creates a secluded feeling you wouldn’t expect with a busy four-lane road out front. It is currently in the last half of an extensive years-long remodel.
