While always hospitable, helpful and polite, Thai hospitality standards are traditionally more formal, which is part of the reason we love the energetic team at Dream, who are Phuket’s “cool kids” and well-informed on the hippest beach clubs, restaurants, and shops. Modern rooms compliment the contemporary hotel layout, which surrounds a wide pool with a well-stocked swim-up bar (a handful of ground-level rooms have swim-up access). Guest rooms have a cool mid-century meets ikat vibe that’s hip and curated looking but I generally feel the villas aren’t worth the extra baht. There’s a rooftop infinity pool with great sunset views. At the hotel’s Dream Beach Club international DJs entertain travelers as they hang in spacious cabanas or enjoy a pool party with new friends.
