This intimate, family-run Italian restaurant just south of Old Town is incredibly popular with longtime locals and Phuket’s expats. The Italian owner, Gianni Ferra, and his Thai wife are consummate hosts, flitting from table to table to recommend starters, like the mixed carpaccio of salmon, beef, and tuna, or suggest the perfect Italian wine to go with homemade pasta. Many of the dishes on the menu are family recipes that Gianni brought to Thailand, and there are family photos on the menu and a great sense of pride in the cooking and ownership. During low season, the restaurant closes for a few weeks while the owners travel to Italy.
