Scotch Wine Bar

Scotch is proof that you don’t have to drive out to a winery—or break the bank—to get a decent meal in the Blenheim area. Located in the downtown core, this minimal space buzzes (although some might just call it noisy) nearly every night of the week. The menu changes according to what’s in-season, but if you’re lucky it will include thinly sliced beetroot stuffed with smoked yogurt, and lamb shoulder served with mustard greens and seaweed. Beautifully presented, dishes can also be ordered a la carte to share. Best of all, after you’ve sampled one or two of the more than 2,000 wines on Scotch’s list (around 500 of which are for sale in the walk-in wine cellar next door) you can amble back to your accommodation in Blenheim’s core. Bookings aren’t necessary, but are recommended.
