This hotel and healing center, owned by New Yorker Diane Dunn, author of the book Cusco: Gateway to Inner Wisdom, is set 1km (.6 mile) away from town on the road to Pisac’s ruins. It began as a few rooms in Dunn’s house, but has grown to almost a dozen, along with a restaurant, healing rooms, and an attached yoga center. As the name Peace and Light suggests, there’s a new-age spin to this hotel, which offers Andean healing workshops, meditation, and sacred-plant ceremonies. Rooms are quite simple with wood floors, Andean artwork, and splendid views of the Pisac ruins and surrounding valley.
