German owned and operated, this decades old hotel is popular among German tourists of a certain age who like to lounge around a pool in a Speedo or bikini, converse with other guests in their own language, and order rouladen off the menu. Rooms feature whitewashed walls and tie-dyed curtains (either groovy or weird, depending on your point of view). A wall of windows and glass doors in each room opens onto a shared veranda split by a low wall. The towels are a bit scratchy, but there’s a/c in all the units and TVs in half of them. There’s a nice pool, a good little restaurant, lush gardens, and a beachfront location, though it’s crammed between high-rise condos and hotels.
