This hacienda-style hotel oozes so much Old World character that it almost looks out of place—in a good way—on Quinta Avenida. Colonial style reigns here, with limestone arches, wrought-iron railings and hand-hewn wood beams creating a soothing envelope for contemporary comforts, including double-paned windows to combat street noise on the Quinta Avenida side. Midsize standard rooms have queen or two double beds; large deluxe rooms have kings or two doubles. All have balconies and mini-fridges. Hand-painted talavera tile brightens the bathrooms, which have terrific water pressure.
