This five-story Mediterranean-style hotel packs a lot of luxury touches into its spacious rooms, from marble floors and large bathrooms in marble and native stone to work desks, mini-fridges, cable TV and  robes and slippers. The small rooftop pool has fantastic ocean views. The location is couldn’t be better, a half-block from either the beach or Quinta Avenida, and an easy walk from the bus station or Cozumel ferry. It isn’t perfect—the pool bar keeps limited hours, it’s devoid of the greenery that adorns many hotels in the area, and it does get some noise from nearby discos—but the value is hard to beat. Lower-level rooms, the least expensive, don’t get nearly the light and air that rooms on higher floors do; an upgrade is well worth the money.
