Tall trees and mature gardens give this sprawling complex of hotel rooms and condo units a cool and refreshing feel, even on the hottest of Guanacaste’s summer days. A thatched-roof tiki bar just off the main pool also helps beat the heat. The eye-pleasing Mediterranean architecture features lots of big arches and red-tile roofs. Of the two swimming pools, one has a little island sporting three palm trees, and the beach is just a 3-minute walk away. Red tile floors and bright tropical paintings and wall hangings give the rooms a cheery feel, and those on the second floor enjoy higher ceilings. Standard hotel rooms and privately owned suites are divided by a little road. The in-house restaurant is one of the best in town, and offers live music three times a week in the high season.
