This all-inclusive resort (which allows children, unlike Secrets and the Occidental, see below), is located on a large property abounding in handsome palm, ceiba and guanacaste trees, right on Playa Panamá. Beyond the beach, the resorts’ major selling point are its two large and attractive swimming pools, one freshwater and one saltwater, both with swim-up bars; and the friendly and attentive staff. As for the rooms, some are showing their age, with older bathroom fixtures, and drawers that might be a tad warped. Still all have lovely high ceilings, are well maintained, with strong A/C; some have the convenience of fully equipped kitchens, living and dining room areas, and hot tubs. Pets are allowed for a fee. The hotel has two restaurants, the buffet-style Vista del Golfo and the seafood restaurant Mare Calmo.
