You get dinner and a show at the restaurant of the Villa del Sueño Hotel and condo complex. Throughout the high season, a house band, which features one of the owners, usually plays (Celine Dion reportedly once joined in). But even if there’s no music, this open-air restaurant is wonderfully pleasant, with a dimly lit, covered dining room and outdoor tables and chairs spread around the lush gardens. The kitchen serves up local ingredients used in comforting casados, hearty plates of proteins and vegetables, plus ceviches, burgers, and an array of fried snacks.
