Luz de Mono
Located in the middle of thick forest at the northern edge of Montezuma, Luz de Mono feels very remote, despite being walking distance from the beach and all of Montezuma’s shops and restaurants. Most guestrooms are housed in an unpainted, gray concrete, two-story building. The individual casitas are more inviting, with much more space, high peaked ceilings, private Jacuzzi tubs, and ocean-view patio decks in front. The hotel’s best feature is its small pool, on a high spot surrounded by tall shade trees and flowering gardens, yet also boasting a view straight out to sea.
