The only full-scale resort in the Ponce region, the Hilton spreads across 74 acres of Caribbean coast with a very good golf course, a pool that kids love (it has a slide), gardens, a playground, and other family-friendly amenities. As you might expect, it also houses boutiques, a health and fitness facility and other services. The casino, bars and nightclubs are the most expansive (and fun) along the south coast, the restaurants are among the city’s best. So why two rather than three stars? While the tropical guest rooms are comfortable and clean, with nice amenities and extras like terraces or balconies, some could use a refresh (many of the bathrooms, in particular, are quite dated). But considering the resort’s other allures, most take these flaws in stride.
