A top bargain in downtown Ponce, both the coffee and cocina criolla menu are hyper local, and super flavorful (there’s also great sangria). It’s something fried to start, probably white cheese and yucca balls, but then the possibilities broaden substantially: mahi mahi in roasted garlic and cilantro, an island take on chicken saltimbocca, grilled churrasco, and a bunch of the usual suspects, including stuffed mofongo. You’re not allowed to leave before trying coffee flan!
