In Port Townsend

For espresso, drop by Tyler Street Coffee House, 215 Tyler St. (tel. 360/379-4185). For tea instead of coffee, check out Wild Sage, 227 Adams St. (tel. 360/379-1222; www.wildsageteas.com).

If you're heading out to Fort Worden State Park for a picnic, you can pick up supplies at the Port Townsend Food Co-Op, 414 Kearney St. (tel. 360/385-2883; www.foodcoop.coop), which is at the south end of town at the turnoff for Fort Worden. Also try Aldrich's, 940 Lawrence St. (tel. 360/385-0500; www.aldrichs.com), a wonderful little upscale market in the uptown neighborhood. If you happen to be in town on a Saturday between early May and mid-November, be sure to stop by the Port Townsend Farmers Market (tel. 360/379-9098; www.ptfarmersmarket.org), held on the corner of Lawrence and Tyler streets. The market is open from 9:30am to 1:30pm. Between mid-June and late September, at the corner of Polk and Lawrence streets, there is also a Wednesday farmers market from 3:30 to 6:30pm.
