Arriving

By Bus -- An express bus from Lisbon makes the 3 1/2-hour trip and costs 19€. A bus runs from the beach at Portimão, 3km (1 3/4 miles) away. For information and schedules, call tel. 28/241-81-20 (www.eva-bus.com).
By Car -- The main highway across the southern coast, Route 125, makes a wide arch north on its eastern run to Portimão.
Visitor Information
At Praia da Rocha, the tourist office (tel. 28/241-91-32; www.visitalgarve.pt) is on Avenida Tomás Cabreira and is open daily 9:30am to 1pm and 2 to 5:30pm (closes in summer at 7pm).
