The Black Elephant Hostel
Make no mistake about it, this is not a dirtbag backpacker’s hostel. The Black Elephant prides itself on creating a fun, open-minded, and safe space for travelers of all ages. From soup to nuts, the entire space has a funky, decidedly hipster aesthetic. Room themes range from lemurs to Day-Glo colors straight out of Haight Ashbury. Travellers can choose stay bunk in a dorm room or private and semi-private spaces. The colorful lobby and outdoor gardens are pefect places for reading or making new friends. Food is not available, but a community kitchen is. The hostel also offers work and stay trades during the slower months.
