This James Beard-nominated restaurant on Longfellow Square offers a friendly, upbeat atmosphere with French bistro food. Classics such as Coq Au Vin, Cassoulet, and Boeuf Bourguignon will not disappoint, and they exploit their coastal location to offer some very fine seafood dishes. Chef Frederic Eliot really took the staple French dishes and did them right, with service that is unpretentious, attentive, and knowledgeable. Open daily for lunch and dinner, and there is brunch on Sundays. Reservations are recommended. Outdoor seating is available in season, and hours change seasonally, so check the website before making plans.
